As AI transforms the workplace, we’re questioning whether humans will feel like they matter at work, and what are the human skills that are needed for career growth and future readiness? Join Clinical Psychologist, Dr Hazel Harrison, and Future of Work Strategist, Jim Marshall, as they explore how AI is reshaping work and what it means for the skills we need to thrive. Through their practical Preserve – Support – Release framework, you’ll discover how to balance human intelligence and AI, explore which skills and approaches might be best to invest in, and make intentional choices about how you work and grow in an AI-enabled world.
What we’ll cover:
- Apply the Preserve – Support – Release framework to make deliberate, contextual decisions about which skills and tasks to protect, delegate with oversight, or hand fully to AI.
- Identify which human capabilities are worth deliberately developing.
- Explore our working relationship with AI and the strategies and mindsets needed to be effective.
Why is it important for people to learn this skill?
The landscape of work is changing rapidly (turbo-charged by AI). Individuals needs to understand how to protect their human intelligence, how to make their colleagues feel they matter, and how to design learning organisations that adapt to this new landscape.
Who is this relevant for?
Leaders, HR Professionals and anyone interested in how we navigate the next era of work.

For ‘Project hi’ he draws on his direct AI experience (former Chief Revenue Officer at Aibly, an AI-agent-orchestration platform helping shape the next generation of workspaces where people and agents collaborate rather than just coexist) and Strategy Consulting experience (he built and led the People Consulting division at Rokker). He’s spent twenty years building, buying, scaling and selling businesses, and his consulting work has focused on what makes high-performing teams tick. Jim is interested in the future of work, the chemistry between humans and AI agents, and the culture of belonging. He’s a cricket fan, a dad, a runner and a reader.
