Neurodiversity may be every bit as crucial for the human race as biodiversity is for life in general. Who can say what form of wiring will be best at any given time.
Harvey Blume
Join Lisa Kerr, ADHD Life Coach, Mentor and Consultant for an enlightening hour where we’ll explore Managing Neurodiversity across the employee lifecycle.
Through increased awareness and diagnosis, it’s now believed that around 20% of people could be Neurodivergent. But what does this mean in the workplace? What’s the business case for employing Neurodivergent staff?
In this session, we’ll consider how line managers can empower Neurodivergent staff and how staff can embrace working with Neurodivergent managers, unlocking untapped potential, creativity, and success. Lisa will take us through an interactive talk over 60 minutes; there will be an opportunity to participate throughout but if you’d prefer not to that’s totally fine too.
What we’ll cover:
- The Business Case for Neurodiversity
- How to empower Neurodivergence at all stages of the employee lifecycle
- An understanding of legal requirements, moral obligations and what’s plain common sense
- Insight into how to identify Neurodivergence and next steps
- What support is available – including ADHD Coaching and Access to Work arrangements
Why is it important for people to learn this skill?
Managing Neurodiversity across the employee lifecycle ensures we can recruit, develop and retain Neurodiverse teams, fostering innovation, creativity and growth and directly impacting business performance.
