It’s no surprise that many of us tend to face difficult conversations with fear and dread. When we need to give developmental feedback, address a challenging issue, or make a request for a change in behaviour, we may be concerned about potential negative consequences. Maybe we won’t be able to get across what we want to say. Maybe we’ll be met with an unpredictable, emotional response. Maybe we’ll wonder whether we’re doing more harm than good. This session will invite you to shift your mindset about your difficult conversations, and ‘see the perfection’ these opportunities may offer. You’ll have a chance to identify and try out new ways of thinking and acting in order to enter your next difficult conversations with curiosity, flexibility and all the perfection you can find!
What we’ll cover:
- How you can feel more at ease conducting difficult conversations.
- Ways to expand your behavioural flexibility in challenging situations.
- How to master your own mindset.
- Saying “Yes to the Mess” in your working environment.
