This is a practical talk which shares tools and techniques to create, deal with, and be more curious during moments of change. You’ll discover fresh perspectives which lead to a strategic advantage for yourself, your team, and your organisation.

What we’ll cover:

  • Learn the 5-step framework that helps you slow down to do better thinking.
  • How to help yourself through the messy emotions of change so you don’t miss opportunities.
  • How to take action without overwhelming yourself or others around you.

Why is it important for people to learn this skill?

We will never be more certain about uncertainty, it’s here to stay. Finding ways to move through it and discover opportunities will be our advantage. We don’t want to survive, or get through change, we want to embrace and navigate it so that we see the good it can bring. This session will also give you an understanding of how to let go of the old.

Who is this relevant for?

This session is helpful for anyone going through change right now – small or big – and will give you a framework to help process it and talk to others through a shared language.

About the Subject Matter Expert

Eleanor Tweddell spent over 20 years building a career in senior communications and change roles at some of the UK’s most recognisable brands, including Costa Coffee, Whitbread, RAC, Virgin Atlantic, Vodafone.

She was good at her job. She understood change from the inside. Then she was made redundant. What happened next was not a straight line. It was a Pause, a Mess, a period of Play, a series of small Tries, and eventually – a Restart. She didn’t know that’s what it was at the time. But looking back, she could see the pattern. And she knew other people needed to see it too.

She started a blog about what job loss really felt like; honest, unfiltered, without the toxic positivity. That blog became a book. That became a podcast. And another book. That became Another Door Opens, and the Change Mastery® framework that sits at the heart of everything.

The framework is lived. Every step of it – Pause, Mess, Play, Try, Restart – was named by mapping and observing how people go through change. Frustrated by the lack of acknowledgment about the messiness of human change, in corporate transformation, Eleanor began to design a system to help individuals think through change. It was the missing piece of most programmes Eleanor was working on in her change consultant capacity.
