This webinar provides an enjoyable, interactive, and practical introduction to storytelling. Led by Jem, an experienced actor, it offers proven storytelling techniques from the actor’s toolbox to “hook” audiences and keep them engaged.

We’ll delve into key questions such as: Why are stories so powerful? How do they work? What techniques can you use? And how can these be applied to business presentations?

What we’ll cover:

  • A deeper understanding of why stories are powerful
  • Awareness of how stories work, including the key ingredients of a good story
  • Practical experience in telling stories
  • Techniques for linking personal stories to business presentations
  • A deeper understanding of how stories help win hearts and minds through ethos, logos, and pathos

Why is it important for people to learn this skill?

The business community is traditionally skilled at winning minds but often struggles to win hearts. While data, logic, and spreadsheets can be persuasive in some cases, what happens when leaders face resistance, need to deliver a difficult message, or are tasked with inspiring and motivating others?

In these moments, the ability to leverage storytelling becomes invaluable. Storytelling enables leaders to connect emotionally, persuading more deeply and establishing their leadership as both personal and authentic. It’s a powerful tool for influencing change and driving engagement.

Who is this relevant for?

For anyone looking to enhance their communication by adding storytelling skills and techniques to make their messages more memorable and impactful. Perfect for those who have endured “death by PowerPoint” and want to ensure their audience never has to suffer the same!
