Endings are a constant presence at work, whether it’s adapting to new ways of working, changes in leadership, colleagues leaving, technological advancements, mergers, or even personal decisions to work differently. Recognising the inevitability of loss—and knowing when to persevere or when to let go—is a vital life skill. This webinar will help you reflect on the losses you’ve experienced and reframe those endings as beginnings.

This session provides a space to process the inevitable endings that accompany our professional lives.

For example, becoming a leader brings many gains, but also the loss of being “one of the team.” As roles evolve, there are losses as well as opportunities for growth.

We’ll explore how regret can reveal what truly matters to us and examine ways to learn from past decisions while remaining focused on the present.

The session will also address how to navigate grief in the workplace, both your own and that of your colleagues.

Through the concept of memento mori—remembering that we will die—we’ll uncover how to live more fully and with less regret.

What we’ll cover:

  • How loss at work affects you
  • Strategies for navigating uncertainty and liminality
  • The role of regret in identifying what matters most
  • Gaining a fresh perspective on endings
  • Understanding and adapting to the “new normal” after an ending “

Who is this relevant for?

This session is designed for anyone navigating an ending that is affecting them at work, whether it involves their own experience of loss and change or that of someone they work with. It is also relevant for those curious about the challenges of discussing death, despite its inevitability.
