Playing Roles In Facilitation

We often use roleplay in facilitated learning sessions. Roleplays are a great way for participants to gain confidence and understanding of specific situations, having the opportunity to rehearse their responses and explore what might happen when they meet the situation for real. The way the facilitator leads the roleplay is very important. In this video discover how you can effectively play characters and roles in roleplay that are both realistic and provide the opportunity for the participant to safely rehearse and practice. Remember the purpose of the roleplay isn’t to trick or show up the participant - it should feel real, it should encourage participants and be a valuable learning experience.

Who's It For?

Struggling to know how to pitch the roleplay you're leading? Discover how to adopt different roles to facilitate a positive roleplay experience. A great video for anyone who has to facilitate roleplay sessions and participate in roleplays by adopting different characters. Don’t shy away from the roleplay - be truthful and realistic and encourage the participants to build their confidence and understanding.
