My friend and decided to make money when school was out by washing cars. He was more confident but I got more sales - I could tell if the owner wanted a no-frills-just-go-away-kids deal or a full service because they were impressed with our work ethic.
Now *cough* years later I like to have an impact in business by understanding what makes people tick. I believe a business needs people experts, not HR experts, throughout. Structure is a negotiable necessity not what delivers outcomes.
That’s why I take a scientific and creative approach to genuinely different and impactful people solutions. I work as a creative critic and consultant to the business.
My specialism is understanding what the future holds for business and therefore for people; beyond lazy demographic trends. I coach leaders through human-centric transformation and spearhead the people component.
I research the role of wisdom as a timeless leadership capability and would love to hear from anyone who wants to get involved in the research.
